Connect your website or channel

Connecting means putting your Publisher ID where the browser extension can find it.

In short

  • Pick one method below, and add your Publisher ID with it.
  • If your website shows ads, cookie banners, popups or a paywall, you also remove them for subscribers.
  • There is no sign-up per website. Your integration appears in your dashboard after subscribers visit, or when you add it yourself.

Prefer the response header when you can set it on every page. The WordPress plugin and our SDKs send it for you.

Is your website already clean?

A header or meta tag only announces that you take part. It doesn't change what your pages show.

Check every page against this list:

  • No ads
  • No cookie consent screens
  • No non-essential third-party trackers
  • No marketing popups, including newsletter signup prompts
  • No paid content or paid features

Every page passes all five? Adding your ID is the whole setup.

Any page fails one? Subscribers must get a page without them. If you sell access, they must also get your base subscription or an included level of paid content. This needs a second step: remove ads for subscribers.

Website or creator?

The method you use decides your integration type.

Announcing your ID doesn't prove you comply. The extension doesn't check that your pages are clean, but website publishers must still provide the clean page. See How you earn for the creator split.

After you connect

Your integration appears in one of two ways:

  • Automatically, after a subscriber visits and their activity is uploaded and processed. This is not instant.
  • Straight away, if you add it yourself. In Websites & creators, open Add a website or creator page, enter your page's address, and select Verify & add. This uses the browser extension, but no paid membership.

Each integration has a status:

Needs verification Added, but your ID wasn't found yet. Add your ID, then verify again. No

One ID for all your websites

Your Publisher ID belongs to your account, not to one website. Every domain and channel you own uses the same ID.

Each hostname shows up as its own website in your dashboard. You can combine them into one property if you like.
