Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 26, 2026 - Operated by Explosive Brains Ltd., London, UK
Zero Ad Network was built on a straightforward premise: you shouldn't have to be tracked and profiled just to read something online. That premise extends to how we run this platform. We collect the minimum data needed to deliver the service, we use it only for that purpose, and we don't sell it.
This policy covers two groups of people:
Subscribers - people who install the browser extension and pay a monthly subscription for an ad-free browsing experience.
Publishers - website owners who register their site to participate in the revenue sharing programme.
In plain terms: we don't sell your data. We don't track your browsing outside of partner sites. We don't run advertising. Telemetry from the extension is anonymised and used only to calculate how subscription revenue is shared with publishers.
1. What We Collect
1.1 Subscribers
When you create an account and subscribe:
Account information: your email address and authentication details (from your login provider).
Subscription data: your current plan, status, and renewal settings.
Anonymised browsing telemetry (from the browser extension only):
The hostname of each partner site you visit (e.g.
example.com).Time spent on each partner site per session.
Page view count per partner site.
This telemetry serves one purpose: calculating how subscription revenue is distributed to publishers each month. It is not linked to your name, email address, or any other personal identifier.
We do not collect:
The specific URLs or pages you read on any site.
Any browsing activity on sites that are not Zero Ad Network partner sites.
The content of pages you visit.
Your IP address or device fingerprint for tracking or profiling purposes.
1.2 Publishers
When you register a site:
Account information: your email address and authentication details.
Site details: your domain name, declared features, and integration status.
Payout information: managed through Stripe Express. We store your payout balance and transfer history. Your bank account details and identity verification are handled entirely by Stripe - we do not have access to them.
1.3 Visitors without an account
We do not collect personal data from people who browse our website without an account. No analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting tools are present on our public pages.
2. Cookies and Sessions
Before you log in: Cloudflare may set security-related cookies for protection against abuse. These are not set by us and are strictly functional.
After you log in: we set one session cookie that keeps you authenticated. It expires after 7 days.
During payment or payout setup: Stripe may set functional cookies strictly for processing the transaction.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics trackers.
3. How We Use Your Data
Service delivery: to issue your subscription token, keep your browser extension in sync, calculate publisher payouts, and manage your account.
Communication: account notices (billing, plan changes, policy updates) and support responses.
Platform security: detecting misuse, fraud, or conduct that violates our Terms of Service.
We do not use your data for advertising or any purpose not listed here.
4. How We Share Your Data
Stripe: subscription and payment data is processed by Stripe. Publisher payouts flow through Stripe Express; Stripe handles identity verification and bank transfers. We do not store or have access to your card or bank account details.
Publishers (aggregate only): publishers receive usage statistics for their own sites - total subscriber visit counts and aggregate time spent. Individual subscriber identities are never shared with publishers.
Legal compliance: we may disclose data if required by a court order, statutory obligation, or to protect the legal rights and safety of our users.
We do not sell personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
5. Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Our infrastructure is self-hosted on hardened servers in a UK-accessible jurisdiction. Access to personal data is restricted to essential personnel only.
No system can guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by UK law and GDPR.
6. Data Retention
Account data: retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
Subscription telemetry: retained for the months needed to calculate and settle payouts. After settlement, data is aggregated and can no longer be traced to individual browsing sessions.
Session cookies: expire after 7 days.
Publisher payout records: retained for 7 years to meet UK financial record-keeping requirements.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion (right to erasure): request that we delete your personal data.
Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data while a dispute is resolved.
Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Complaint: lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
8. International Transfers
Our infrastructure is hosted in the UK and EU region. Stripe, our payment processor, is US-based and operates under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Any international transfer of personal data is covered by adequate legal safeguards under UK GDPR.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Third-Party Links
Our platform may link to third-party services (Stripe, browser extension stores, documentation). We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
