Terms of Service

Effective date: April 26, 2026

Zero Ad Network connects people who want a cleaner browsing experience with website owners who want to be fairly compensated for good content. These Terms set out the rules of that arrangement - what each party gets, what each party is responsible for, and how things work if something goes wrong.

The platform is built on the idea that subscribers and publishers can both win: users get a clean web, publishers get paid fairly, and nobody's data gets sold. These Terms are designed to protect that arrangement for everyone involved.

By using the platform - as a subscriber or a publisher - you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

2. For Subscribers

2.1 What you get

Your subscription gives you:

Benefits apply only on Partner Sites that declare support for the relevant feature. On any other site, the extension remains inactive and your browsing is unaffected.

2.2 Billing and cancellation

2.3 Cooling-off period

If you are a consumer in the UK or the European Union, you have a 14-day right to cancel your first subscription and receive a full refund - provided you have not yet activated the browser extension and started using the service. If you have begun using the extension, you retain the right to cancel but we may deduct a proportionate amount reflecting the days of use. To request a refund under this right, email [email protected] within 14 days of your first payment.

2.4 Your responsibilities

As a subscriber you agree to:

Serious violations may result in account suspension or termination. Subscription fees already charged are not refunded in the event of termination for a conduct violation.

3. For Publishers

3.1 What you get

As a publisher in the partner programme, your site earns a monthly share of subscription revenue based on actual subscriber engagement:

For full details and worked examples, see the Monetisation Guidelines.

3.2 Enrolment and activation

To participate in the programme:

Sites declaring the CLEAN_WEB feature must ensure that subscribers receive a genuinely clean experience - free of ads, cookie consent screens, and marketing popups. Your integration module handles this automatically.

3.3 Payouts

3.4 Leaving the programme

3.5 Your responsibilities

As a publisher you agree to:

Violations may result in site suspension, permanent ban, and forfeiture of accrued earnings.

4. Revenue Sharing

After the Platform Fee, the remaining subscription revenue is distributed to active, unbanned Partner Sites each calendar month:

The Platform Fee is currently 30%. Changes to the Platform Fee will be announced on the platform before taking effect.

5. Platform Changes

Zero Ad Network is an evolving service. We reserve the right to update subscription prices, plan features, payout calculation rules, platform mechanics, and these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after any change constitutes acceptance.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. In the event we discontinue the service, final payouts will be settled before closure.

6. Payments and Stripe

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store card details. Publisher payouts are processed through Stripe Express; Stripe's own terms govern identity verification and bank transfer decisions. We are not responsible for payment or payout decisions made by Stripe.

7. Data and Privacy

We collect your email address, subscription status, and - for subscribers - anonymised browsing telemetry from partner sites only. Telemetry is used solely to calculate revenue distributions and is not linked to personal identifiers. We do not sell personal data.

Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable Use

The following are prohibited regardless of whether you are a subscriber or publisher:

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and act - including immediate account termination - when necessary to protect the platform's integrity.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also rely on any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your country of residence.
